YEAR BEFORE RETIRING. Everything
seemed in place…
A recent retiree finds
that the transition brings
about emotions and
changes he didn’t see
coming…
I thought I had anticipated
everything and that come retirement
I would just slip into it and everything
would be great.
Well that has not being the case –
yes, the practical stuff was well
organised and we have had a nice
holiday abroad in the sun – but what
I hadn’t anticipated was the
emotional side of leaving a job I
loved and the vacuum that looms
large when you no longer have that!
