So redundant or
retired. With a job or
without a job.
Feeling rejected,
worthless or invisible
… forget it!
Well it does mean ME & it means
YOU … even more so it means the
individual specifically.
I want us to say John 3:16 again
together and instead of the words
“the world”, I want you to substitute
your own name!
“For God so loved …………He gave his
only son… that whosoever believes in
Him will not perish, but have
everlasting life….”
life!.
Let’s say this together:
That should be exciting and
empowering. And it should changes
the way we see ourselves.
I know most people don’t think they
are important and so we assume God
thinks of us in a similar way. But
then, again, God is not like ‘most
people, to God, you are special.
Perhaps the most well know portion
of scripture is John 3:16 – “For God
so loved the world that e gave his
only son that whoever believes in
him shall never be lost but have
everlasting life.”
I am loved. I’m special to God, not
because of my greatness but
because of the greatness of his love.
I don’t have to try to be anything
I’m not. He loves me just as I am
and knows what I can be.
I’m not invisible to him. He holds me
close to him each day and always
wants the best for me.
I can be at peace in all
circumstances because of His love.

Maybe when you hear the words
“God so loved the world”, you think
this is too big to be personal - its
remote and not specific to an
individual - it cannot mean me - I’m
insignificant in world terms… that
God’s interested in the world at large
but individuals? Well I don’t know!
