Japanese History TheSamurai, a short story | Page 6

It is the summertide of 1614 in Osaka. We’ve been hiding for three weeks now, waiting for an order to invade the Osaka Castle, and my comrades are starting to wonder if our domain banished us. We’re slowly running out of resources. Our lives are at stake. If we don’t make it, we’ll die proudly as samurais. Samurais who availed Japan for their whole lives, serving our domains and daimyos no matter which part of the land we live in. We’ll continue to protect our territories with everything we’ve got until we have nothing left, even if it costs our lives. Whatever happens to us, the samurai spirit lives on forever.
