Economic Changes

Economically, because of Japan's social

strucure at that time, which was

stitched together by strict rules, some values that people may want became hard to acquire or they had to pay for it. Because they couldn't trade with other countries, they had to produce and manufacture their own products, which led to a developement in both agriculture and manufacturing goods. Japan's economy was delayed due to the fact that they had to use rice as a payment. because they didn't know about currency. Over time, they developed a remarkably stable and tranquil sconomy, and soon enough, they had a very wealthy country.

uring most of the Edo P Period, Japan was cut off

fromthe rest of the world, endured no invasion from the outside, and had literally no trade and exchange with other countries, thus making them self-sufficient. As a result, everything was treated as a valuable resource, including materials that would, on the other hand, be considered as garbage, such as ash. Overall, it was a peaceful period, with almost no war inside the country, and marked a remarkable time of development in the economy and culture of Japan.

Worldview

Since Japan was isolated from the rest of the world, they developed their own unique worldview using whichever sources they had. Elements such as geography, belief, and religion had a huge effect on their worldview. For example, because of their geographical location, they didn't know that the Euopeans existed, let alone did they know that they were going to meet them. Also, they valued politeness and silence, and if you talk a lot, you were considered impolite.
