Newsletter Winter 2013/14
The club show was again held in conjunction with the Birmingham City Championship show on the 1st September. This provides exhibitors a fantastic opportunity to attend two shows on the same day at the same venue. The club show hosted special awards classes in additional to the standard breed classes.
There are always a good selection of stalls at this show and the agility qualifier provides a great example of agility if you are looking for something fast-paced to watch between the two sets of judging.

Ultra Running Japanese Akita Inus
So what to do on a chilly December Saturday? Would a 42 mile run around the Brecon Beacons in Wales be the thing that you think of?
Maybe not, but there are now two Japanese Akita Inus in the UK who can lay claim to be Ultra-runners. They are not just a show breed but can turn a paw to many different events.
Maybe your dog can be the next ultra-dog?
