On behalf of the Southern Finnish Lapphund Society and The Keeshond Club we would like to share the latest news on the Spitz in the Park (SitP).
SitP is a fun packed weekend, with camping and caravan facilities (there are a few spaces still available) for all spitz breeds, the theme of the weekend is Fun, Fun, and more Fun. It is a fun packed weekend for everyone, including a Companion Dog Show, have a go Rally and agility, Heel Work to Music demonstrations and tasters, KC Good Citizen Testing, grooming workshops, general knowledge quiz, BBQ.
The weekend will culminate in the team event spitzlympics, and we are hoping that each spitz breed will be represented by at least one team of six (mixed teams are allowedJ), and of course there can be more than one team per breed! If last summer’s lappylympics is anything to go by – it will be a laugh a minute!
On a serious note there will be eye testing available on Saturday. We will also have cheek swabs for DNA sampling for the Cataract and epilepsy research projects at the AHT.
Spitz in the Park takes place on 19th & 20th July 2014 at Brailes Village Hall, Oxon
We extend a warm welcome to all spitz enthusiasts and hope you will join us for a weekend for all the family, where laughs are guaranteed
All information is available on the web site http://www.spitzinthepark.co.uk/ and our Facebook page.
Best wishes
