Exhibitors are also reminded that they are responsible for the actions and any damage done by their children or children in their charge within the environs of the Show. Your dog is vulnerable and at risk during hot weather and the Kennel Club offers the following guidance to help guide you through the do’s and don't’s travelling to and whilst at a KC licensed events. When travelling to a show please take a moment to consider whether the route to the show is on a busy holiday route, and leave earlier to avoid increased time in traffic jams. If your vehicle is not air conditioned seriously consider whether travelling to the show is a good idea at all. The vehicle should be as fully ventilated as possible, and plenty of stops should be taken with lots of water available to drink. Ensure your dog is not sitting in full sunlight. There should be plenty of free flowing air around the dog. When at the show, never leave your dog in the vehicle. Keep the dog in the shade - take your own shade for example a large umbrella and always have plenty of water available to drink so your dog stays well hydrated. Avoid your dog taking part in unnecessary exertion or from standing in exposed sunlight for ex tended lengths of time. Remember, if you feel hot your dog is very likely to feel much hotter and dehydrated, and this could lead to dire results. Please look after your dogs welfare. WARNING: IF YOUR DOG IS FOUND TO BE AT RISK FORCIBLE ENTRY TO YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE NECESSARY WITHOUT LIABILITY FOFR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED. Not for Competition: Not for Competition entries will be accepted. Details of each dog so entered must be recorded on the entry form and must be Kennel Club registered. Dog Fouling. Any owner, exhibitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is requested to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog/s at any Kennel Club licensed Show within the licensed venue and within the environs of that event including car park and caravan parks and approaches. Adequate receptacles for the disposal of such fouling will be provided. The Committee will not be responsible for claims for injury or compensation occasioned by or arising from the holding of the Show or reason of act or default of any person. Any Bank Charges incurred through incorrectly completed or dishonoured cheques will be passed no to the exhibitor concerned. Any exhibitor failing to pay entry fees and/or Bank Charges will be dealt with by the Committee of the Kennel Club. If in the opinion of the Secretary, Show Manager or any Judge, any dog is considered not in a fit state for exhibition owing to disease, savage disposition or any other cause, the dog may be excluded or removed from the Show on the instruction of the Show Management. If any Judge is unable to fulfil an engagement, the Committee reserve the right to appoint a replacement. In these circumstances, exhibitors may withdraw from competition b no entry fees will be returned. An announcement prior to date of closing of entries in “Our Dogs” or “Dog World” of any alteration or addition to the Schedule or these Regulations shall be deemed sufficient notice thereof. 17. 1. 2. The Show will open at 08:30 a.m. Dogs will be received at any time but it is the exhibitors responsibility to endure that their exhibits are availabl e for judging when required. Judging will commence at 09:30a.m for Special Awards, Open Show 10.30am. Exhibits may be removed from the Show after their judging has been complete. The Show will close half an hour after all judging has been completed. The use of cooking stoves in the proximity of the tenting and benching areas is forbidden except as authorised by the Show Manager. Entry fees: Members £10.00 per dog; subsequent entries with the same dog £2.00. Special Awards £3.00. NFC £2.00. Non Members £12.00 per dog; subsequent entries with the same dog £3.00. Special Awards £4.00 NFC £2.00. There will be no Prize Money on offer at the Open Show. Special Awards: 1st £10.00, 2nd £8.00, 3rd £6.00, Res £4.00, VHC £2.00. The Committee reserves to itself the right to refuse entries. Puppies under six calendar months of age on the first day of the show are not eligible for exhibition in the Open Show. Puppies aged over 4 months may be entered in the Special Awards or NFC. The mating of bitches within the precincts of the Show is forbidden. Best Puppy In Show A. Where a Best Puppy in Show competition is scheduled the Best Puppy in Show is a puppy which has competed and is unbeaten by any other puppy exhibited at the same show. A puppy is a dog of six and not exceeding twelve calendar months of age on the first day of the Show. Where the Best In Show is a puppy it will automatically be Best Puppy in Show respectively. Similarly, if the Reserve Best in Show is a Puppy which has only been beaten by an adult dog it will also automatically be Best Puppy in Show respectively. Consequently, selection of Best Puppy in Show must follow the selection of Best in Show respectively. Best Puppy in Show must be selected from puppies which have been judged and which are unbeaten by any other puppy. B. Withdrawal from Other Competition Puppies which become eligible for Best Puppy in Show maybe withdrawn from all other competition, other than Breed Classes, prior to the competition for Best Puppy in Show in order to remain unbeaten. A puppy beaten in competition for Best Puppy in Show may subsequently be exhibited in all competition for which it was previously eligible. The dog declared Best Puppy in Show, however, must not compete in any subsequent competitions. C. Proviso For the purpose of this Regulation, dogs beaten in competition for Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Progeny, Brace and Team or a Special Stakes confined to one breed will not be considered to be beaten dogs. Best In Show The dog declared Best In Show is a dog which has competed and is unbeaten by any other dog exhibited at the same show. Best in Show must be selected from exhibits declared Best of Sex providing they are unbeaten wining dogs. Reserve Best in Show must be selected from the Best Opposite Sex and the Reserve Best of Sex to the exhibit declared Best in Show. Dogs which become eligible for Best in Show may be withdrawn from all other competition, other than Breed Classes and Best of Breed, prior to the competition for Best in Show in order to remain unbeaten. A dog beaten in competition for Best in Show may subsequently be exhibited in all competition for which it was previously eligible. The dogs declared Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show, however, must not compete in any subsequent competition. Proviso For the purpose of this Regulation, dogs beaten in competition for Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Progeny, Brace and Team or a Special Award confined to one breed will not be considered to be beaten dogs. Exhibits will not be admitted to Best in Show competition after a period of 10 minutes has elapsed since the announcement that exhibits are required for judging, unless they have been unavoidably delayed by previous judging not being completed on time, and then only with the special permission of the Show Management. No modifications will be made to this Schedule except by permission of the General Committee of the Kennel Club, which will be followed by advertisement in the Canine Press wherever possible. All exhibits must be familiar with Kennel Club Regulation F. Regulation for the Preparation of Dogs for Exhibition. All dogs resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete number before entry to the show/event can be made.
