Show Report : Crufts 2012 Judge : Mary Deats
Although Thursday was the utility day there were a lot of people there on the day it didn ’ t seem to put anyone off entering as Mary Deats had a great entry of 41 this year . It was great to see the new dogs and handlers in the ring together alongside the experienced veterans . We hope that everyone enjoyed their time in the ring . It was quite a nice social event as well as it ’ s a great opportunity for people to catch up after the winter break .
The club would like to congratulate all the dogs and owners who took part and hope that you had an enjoyable day . Special congratulations go to the class winners and special congratulations to Tsoyu Cho Cho Hime Go who took the Best of Breed and the opportunity to show in the Group ring at her first Crufts appearance .

Many thanks goes to the owners and dogs who spent time on the Japanese Akita Inu stand at Discover Dogs . It is always a busy and tiring day for all concerned , but is a great opportunity for the public to meet the breed and find out what it is like to own our lovely dogs . The more information people can get before they purchase a dog the less likely it is that they will chose an unsuitable breed . This in turn reduces the numbers of dogs that would come into rescue or need rehoming .
