International Relations:
After WWII, Japan has taken an inert stance towards conflicts and disagreements that are
international. Japan has established Self Defense Forces in lieu of the conventional military. It
provides the country with natural security and with national emergencies assistance.
For protection against peripheral threats, Japan relies on U.S for protection.18 percent of Japan’s
territory have been occupied by the U.S forces. Around 2 billion dollars are paid annually to
cover the military presence of U.S in Japan.
Composed of 6852 islands, Japan is prone to natural disasters. History have witnessed shocking
devastations in Japan in the form of Tohoku earthquake and Tsunami. It caused economic
damage of over 57 percent which is considerably high.
