2017 JAPAN AIRLINES CHAMPIONSHIP
PGA TOUR Champions and Japan Airlines celebrated
a monumental occasion for professional golf with the
playing of the 2017 JAPAN AIRLINES Championship.
Played at the beautiful Narita Golf Club/Accordia Golf,
the JAPAN AIRLINES Championship was the first ever
official PGA TOUR-sanctioned event played in Japan.
The event week not only featured a great week of golf
at its highest level, but also included many major social
events that featured intimate exchanges between the
cultures of Japan and the United States. The involvement
of the Japan Prime Minister and the US Ambassador
to Japan in tournament functions solidified the week
as one that celebrated not only the world’s greatest
names in golf, but also marked a significant moment for
international social interaction.
The inaugural JAPAN AIRLINES Championship
was highlighted by a field of major champions and
international stars, with World Golf Hall of Famer Colin
Montgomerie taking home the trophy as the 2017 JAPAN
AIRLINES Championship winner.
