Welcome to Bike BetteR
If you've been paying attention to bicycle related news in 2014, you'll probably have noticed that there have been a lot of reasons to celebrate. Complete streets, the road diet on Government Street, and Bike Baton Rouge's own Bike Rack program have been hugely succesful. 2015 promises to be an even bigger year for bicycling, with the formation of a state wide bike coalition just over the horizon, major progress on several bike friendly projects in downtown Baton Rouge - and of course, the creation of this very newsletter. You're currently reading the first edition of Bike BetteR, a monthly newsetter produced entirely by Bike Baton Rouge volunteers. We'll be working hard to make you aware of everything going on in the bicycling world.
If you'd like to be involved in the bicycle community in Baton Rouge, Bike Baton Rouge will be holding our monthly meeting in the week of January 21 (time and location TBD) and anyone is welcome to join. If you're not yet a member ot it's time for you to renew your membership, visit bikebatonrouge.eventbrite.com.
If you'd like to contribute to Bike BetteR or if you have any comments or suggestions, please send us an email at [email protected]
Thanks for checking out our magazine!
- Happy pedaling!
