Did you always know you wanted to be a dentist? If not, what did you want to be when you were growing up? No, I thought I wanted to be a cartoonist or maybe a medical doctor.
When and where did you attend dental school? University of Maryland. 2000-2004
Where do you currently practice? York, Pa.
I’ ve worked in most dental settings, from staff dentist at VAMC, teaching at GPR, worked briefly at a corporate office, bounced around multiple private offices and now I have owned my own office for the last 13 years.
What motivated you to become involved in organized dentistry? I felt that the ADA is one of the most influential ways in which we as individuals can alter the course of the profession in a positive direction.
What do you believe is the most challenging issue facing dentistry as a profession? Dentistry has more challenges facing the profession than ever. The big three are DSOs’ impact on private practice, the dental insurance companies’ effect on how we practice, and the debt on the next generation of dentists both in terms of school and starting / buying practices.
