Did you always know you wanted to be a dentist when you were younger? If not, what did you want to be when you were growing up? I always knew that I wanted to be in the medical field, but it was not until I went to college that my passion for studio art combined with my love of the sciences led me to dentistry.
When and where did you attend dental school? I graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2001.
Where do you currently practice? I currently own and operate Elverson Dental Care, LLC in Elverson.
What motivated you to become involved in organized dentistry? I was very involved in ASDA while in Oklahoma and always felt a connection to organized dentistry.
What do you believe is the most challenging issue facing dentistry as a profession? As a private practice owner, I feel that over regulation and the constant rising costs associated with providing dental care are the most challenging issues facing our profession.
What do you believe is the most challenging issue facing organized dentistry? Attracting new members and maintaining the current membership is the most challenging issue.
Dr. Wolitarsky’ s personal story
Dr. Wolitarsky grew up in Wayne, Pennsylvania just outside of Philadelphia. He has a younger brother named Matthew. He and his wife Kim have two children. Their son William is 20 years old and currently attends SMU in Dallas. Their daughter Brooke is 18 years old and attends Auburn University in Alabama.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? I enjoy gardening, hiking, golfing and spending time with our two German shorthair pointers when I’ m not at the office.
Name some fun / interesting things about yourself that others would be surprised to learn.
• I’ m an expert level skier.
• I’ m a PADI certified diver.
• I’ m an accomplished Skeet Shooter.
• I have summited Mt. Rainier in Washington state.
Who was your greatest role model? My father has always been my greatest role model.
What famous person would you most like to spend a day with? I think it would be amazing to hang out with Benjamin Franklin.
