State Board of Dentistry News
The State Board of Dentistry has submitted draft rulemaking that would increase civil penalties for certain offenses . These proposed changes will likely take place in 2023 or 2024 . The proposed fee changes are as follows :
• Failure to maintain current CPR certification , corrected within 60 days First Offense : $ 100 Second and Subsequent Offenses : Formal Action
• Practicing on a lapsed license ( Currently $ 100 / month ) $ 200 / month , not to exceed $ 1000 Over 12 months- Formal Action
• Dentist administering or supervising the administration of anesthesia without a permit $ 200 / month not to exceed $ 1,000 Over 12 months- Formal Action
• Failure of unrestricted permitholder to possess ACLS / PALS certification , corrected within 60 days First Offense $ 100 Second or Subsequent Offense- Formal Action
• Failure of restricted I permitholder to possess ACLS / PALS certification , corrected within 60 days First Offense $ 100 Second or Subsequent Offense- Formal Action
• Failure to complete required CE during the preceding biennial renewal period , correct within 6 months First Offense - $ 50 per credit hour of deficiency , not to exceed $ 1000 Second or Subsequent Offense- Formal Action
