The in-person sessions will be streamed and virtual participants will be provided with a link to join each session . Attendance will be monitored and those who complete the course will be awarded CE credits ( if applicable ) for the live , virtual event . The Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry considers live , virtual events as in-person learning . Virtual participants must watch the program on their own device that allows the participant to see and hear the speaker . A camera is not required .

MACdentistry : The What , When , How and Why of Current Indirect Restorative Materials , Adhesives and Cements Presented by Thomas E . Dudney , DMD

As restorative materials , adhesives , and cements , continue to evolve and improve , keeping up with the latest advancements is difficult . Patients continue to have high expectations for long term clinical success . Having an understanding and working knowledge of these materials will enable you to make sound decisions and drive that long term success . The lecture will discuss factors affecting the selection of indirect restorative materials that will satisfy the aesthetic and functional goals of the patient as conservatively as possible . Cases will be used to demonstrate the use of these materials , bonding agents , and cements in different clinical situations .
Upon completion of the lecture , the participant should be able to :
• List the factors affecting material selection .
• Identify Monolithic vs . layered restorations .
• Combine aesthetics and function with emax lithium disilicate .
• List advantages and disadvantages of full contour zirconia .
• Recognize the benefits of the new universal adhesives .
• Understand which cements to use when and why ?
• Describe how to treat the tooth and the restoration when conventionally cementing or adhesively bonding .
• Understand the long-term benefits of bioactive cements .

Thomas E . Dudney , DMD Dr . Dudney is a 1977 graduate of University of the Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry . He is the clinical director for the newly formed Pacific Aesthetic Continuum ( PAC ) hands-on programs . He also is an accredited member of the American Society for Dental Aesthetics and a Diplomat of the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry . Dr . Dudney receives honorarium support from GC America , BISCO , Shofu Dental Corporation , Pulpdent Corporation and Kettenbach Dental .
