In-person Continuing Education Requirements Waived
Governor Wolf suspended the requirements for dentists , hygienists and EFDAs to obtain a specific amount of continuing education ( CE ) credits as in-person CE in order to reapply for licensure in 2021 .
Licensees may fulfill their CE requirements through online and self-study . Please note that these licensees must be compliant with the State Board of Dentistry ’ s other requirements that :
• Courses must be in approved subject areas ;
• Offered by board-approved sponsors and
• Taken between April 1 , 2019 and March 31 , 2021 .
PDA is offering live , virtual and online self-study CE courses to help you fulfill your requirements . Visit www . padental . org / calendar to register for our live , virtual courses . Click on the Prerecorded Events tab of the Calendar to review the list of online self-study CE courses . Many courses are complimentary for PDA member dentists .
Non-dentist team members will need their own record in PDA ’ s database before they can access PDA ’ s online CE . Email PDA with the name , mailing address and unique email address for each dental team member interested in completing PDA ’ s online CE courses .
