do it again the next year. We were glad that my perceived presidential obligation had brought us there. Since that first time in Allentown, we have volunteered in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, and now this most awesome event will be in our town. If you read the September / October issue of this publication, you saw the wrap-up of the Pittsburgh MOM-n-PA and learned of the mind blowing statistics of MOM-n-PA to date. As of today, MOM-n-PA has completed 22,248 procedures on 6,519 patients. The total value of dental care donated has been $ 3,572,043 from 4,005 volunteers. Like I said … mind blowing.
If you come to Erie, I can guarantee you will see old friends, classmates from dental school( I saw four of mine last year), and colleagues from around the state who you may not have seen for years. Although MOM is not a PDA event, PDA has been a huge supporter since the very first mission in Philadelphia in 2013 and every year since. One of my favorite pictures each year is the one with the PDA president and former presidents. It amazes me that our leaders continue to give back every year. It is an added bonus seeing all the members I have had the privilege over the years to volunteer with on councils, committees, task forces, the Board of Trustees, the former House of Delegates and the PDAIS Board of Directors.
So please mark your calendar for June 16-17 and keep your eyes open for the start of MOM-n-PA registration in March, or check the website http:// www. mom-n-pa. com for more information. So once again I will ask, can you come to Erie to help our MOM?
