The 2025 AAMD Charity Auction was truly an evening of“ new”— a new venue, a new format, and new records set for both attendance and fundraising. Hosted at the stunning Social Capitol, this year’ s Masquerade-themed event quickly became the social gathering of the season, bringing together nearly 400 attendees for a night filled with elegance, excitement, and purpose.
Unlike years past, the Charity Auction featured a thoughtfully scaled-down and curated silent auction. This streamlined approach created space for additional fundraising opportunities throughout the evening. Each one was designed to maximize engagement and impact. Which resulted in a more dynamic guest experience and a powerful boost to the overall funds raised.
With masks donned and paddles ready, guests were guided through the evening by live auctioneer Gary Corbett, who energized the crowd with a room-wide game of Heads or Tails, a live auction featuring six top-notch items and experiences, and a wildly successful paddle raise.
As Gary shared ahead of the event,“ It’ s not about what you come to GET, it’ s what you come to GIVE,” and AAMD members embraced that message wholeheartedly. Between the silent auction, live auction, ring toss, and paddle raise, the evening raised more than $ 64,000, with proceeds benefiting AAMD’ s long-time community service partner, Family HomeStead, and the AAMD Apartments Giving Back Fund. This nearly doubled the amount funds raised years prior.
This unforgettable evening would not have been possible without the dedication and creativity of the Charity Auction Committee, led by Tonya Storovich, Chelsea Fredell, and Erin Mangers, whose vision brought the Masquerade to life.
