Charbonneau Arts celebrates successful 2025 and welcomes 2026
Happy New Year!
Thanks to our generous Charbonneau community of volunteers and donors, as well as
MCLAIN local business sponsors, we have approved grants to school arts programs at Wilsonville and Canby high schools, a whopping $ 10,000 to each. On behalf of the CAA Board of Directors, I sincerely thank everyone who contributed time, talent and money to our many events in 2025. We were able to expand the scope of our activities to include performing arts in addition to the legacy of supporting fine arts in Canby and Wilsonville.
Our three-part mission:
Community: To provide a venue for the appreciation and promotion of visual arts, performing arts and other fine arts.
Students: To create opportunities for local public high school students to exhibit and demonstrate their art and perform musically.
Teachers: To raise funds to provide ongoing support for the arts and music programs in the Wilsonville and Canby areas of Clackamas County, Oregon.

Another holiday season is in the books, and what a season it was. Warmer than normal temperatures brought out golfers and torrential rains kept them away. Mother nature may try to determine how we play or what activities we enjoy in the winter,
In 2025, we organized three significant efforts to fulfill our mission:
41st Wilsonville Festival of the Arts @ Charbonneau – a success in the quality of the art exhibited and sold, as well as the money raised. The organizing team and over 150 volunteers did a great job with this three-day event.
1st“ Blues for Schools,” Wilsonville Festival of Music @ Charbonneau – a success in the quality of the music. The leadership team and volunteers, led by Alice Galloway, learned a lot about what it takes to organize this type of event. Breaking even financially is a success for a first-time event and we plan for its return in 2027.
Final year of the Music Stage @ Charbonneau series of music concerts. These popular events were mildly financially successful for CAA. In 2026, the CCC staff will take over the management and organizing of musical events for the residents of Charbonneau. CAA will continue to host the December Holiday Celebration event in 2026.
The financial success of these events allows CAA to provide grants to school arts programs at Wilsonville and Canby schools.
The 2026 Festival of the Arts is scheduled for Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 9-11. We have the nucleus of our Festival Organizing Committee and welcome new members with skills and a willingness to jump in to help manage our world-class event. Artistic skills are not required, but abilities in marketing, organization and computers are welcome. We have fun and a huge sense of pride in the quality of our festival.
but she does not deter the Niners in their efforts to have fun and celebrate. The holiday season brings out the best in us and one way we share our good fortune is the Niner Holiday Happy LOFFINK Hour. This year it was held in the Charbonneau Clubhouse Dining Room where the decorations couldn’ t help but lift anyone’ s spirit. Adding to this was the Happy Hour Committee chaired by Past Presidents
