Rose Pugliese
Colorado House Representative
Representative Rose Pugliese was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 2023 from House District 14 ( the district bordering the South and East boundaries of the Air Force Academy ). She currently serves as the House Minority Leader . She sits on the House Education Committee and her legislative priorities extend to crucial areas such as children and family affairs , affordability and attainability , and safeguarding parental rights and choice . Representative Pugliese had previously acted as a two-term Mesa County Commissioner . During her political career she has been celebrated for her significant contributions to enhancing government transparency and fostering bipartisan cooperation .
As a first-generation American , she proudly holds a juris doctorate degree from St . John ' s University School and operates her own law firm ( she did her undergraduate work at Villanova University ). In addition to the rewarding role of being a single mother to two children , she remains steadfast in her commitment to her community and constituents .
Representative Pugliese has demonstrated a 100 % voting record on issues supporting rental housing in Colorado . She has supported our industry with consistent participation in the annual CAA Housing Summit .
This election cycle she led the New Day Colorado Committee , which was decidedly successful in moving the Colorado House of Representatives three seats closer to balance and ending the one-party supermajority which has been so problematic to Colorado ’ s economic health . It is the first move to balance in the Colorado House in 14 years and is due in great part to the efforts of Representative Pugliese . The Association has been honored to support Rose Pugliese and New Day Colorado .
AAMD will be donating $ 500 in Rose ' s name to her favorite charity :
