Ok not the most relevant movie quote but I was looking for a way to introduce our upcoming Ski Day event and it was between this and something from “ Better of Dead ” with John Cusack . So … Plankers and Boarders grab your Chernobyl and head for Loon Mountain , for the 10 th annual ASCE-NH Ski Day on February 2 nd ! This has been an incredibly successful event that sells out quickly so be sure to register soon . Disclaimer : hot tub time machine not included .
ASCE-NH is off to a great start in 2024 with our recent Younger Member bowling night at Striker ' s East and beyond the upcoming Ski Day event we have a lot in store for our membership . January marks the reopening of our monthly Lunch & Learn Webinar Series so tune in on Tuesday , January 30 th for Biosolid Management & Recycling in NH (& VT ) led by RMI ’ s Charley Hanson . Looking ahead , the New Hampshire Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers ( NSPE-NH ) 73 rd Annual Engineers Week Banquet & Exhibition will be taking place on Thursday February 22 nd . They are offering an afternoon of educational sessions for a total of 3 PDH ’ s , and you can see the crowning of the Engineer and Young Engineer of the Year at the Dinner and Presentation of Awards .
Also , in the not-too-distant future our 6 th Annual Engineers Day Conference Presented by ASCE-NH and Shea Concrete Products will take place on March 5 th through 7 th . This “ virtual ” conference offers the opportunity to earn 6-PDHs and all conference proceeds go to the ASCE-NH Scholarship Fund ! We will be offering two ( 2 ) presentations per day as “ Breakfast ” ( 9-10am ) & “ Lunch ” ( 12-1pm ) opportunities . Each presentation offers a 1-PDH Certificate to all attendees .
