The new practice area has been slow to grow in . We were fighting some soil conditions , but it has responded to what we applied and is beginning to grow in more aggressively . We continue to fertilize it weekly . We have started to mow it and as long as we stay in the 60 ’ s at night it will continue to grow . We ask that you please do not use it until we officially open it .
As always , I ask you to do your part in helping us take care of the golf course by fixing all ball marks and filling divots . We also ask you to please observe the yellow signs in front of the greens and stay out of the restricted areas . All handicap players should use caution in where you drive , and keep all carts at a minimal of 30 feet from the greens .
When possible , it is best to practice the 90 degree rule . Our play has increased and we all need to do our part in keeping the golf course in the best shape possible .
I would like to thank the previous greens committee for a fun six months and would like to welcome the new greens committee . I look forward to working with you all .
I hope everyone had a great holiday season . We wish you a happy and healthy New Year . I look forward to a great year here and making Sun N Lake even better !
Best Regards ,
