The Red Bull Override returned to Decatur , Texas this past weekend for its second edition of a grueling 6-hour North American Hard Enduro .
This race promotes a unique format which incorporates three intensive ‘ overrides .’ These much more challenging sections open up one at a time , in succession , at a specified time until all are open .
Regardless of position or class , once opened , each and every rider must complete the override .
This proved to be the beginning of the end for many of the racers , who simply could not make it up the required rigid Texas boulders and ridiculously steep ridge-lines . One by one they began to drop out ... in typical true hard enduro fashion !
