“ I am definitely glad I switched to the four-stroke ,” says Cody . “ I switched for a reason ; I tested a full day on the two stroke and just felt like a fish out of water trying to ride . You drive out of a corner on a four-stroke , you can get straight and keep going straight around . It was last minute , but I was happy with the decision ; I wouldn ’ t take it back .”
In the Intermediate class and the Women ’ s class , Shelby Turner was on a winning streak . The KTM rider earned two first-place finishes in the Intermediate class and went undefeated in the Women ’ s class going into the final round of the season . Again , Max Gerston , Cory Graffunder , and Ty Cullins kept their brands in the top 10 .
The final round cemented several championship finishes and series overall podium positions . Webb and Hart battled for second place in the series , separated by only four points going into the last event of the season . Webb ’ s successfully passed Hart in the second moto kept the finish in Webb ’ s court , even though Hart finished the round with a 1-2-1 . Haaker had secured a comfortable 10-point lead over the competition ; he only needed to finish sixth place
