HOW IS IT JUGGLING A FULL-TIME JOB WITH TRAINING ?

JOSH : As far as a day job , any day that I ’ m not riding , I ’ m working over at Dirt Riders West . We ’ re just a local dirt bike shop ; I ’ m in the back putting a wrench on a motorcycle , working 9-5 , so I still have a normal job , but still find time to get some riding in . Thankfully , my boss allows me to have some time off to do some riding .
KYLEE : I have a day job ; I work full time for my parents . I do the books for their drywall company . It ’ s hard ; I definitely like it , but it makes it so I just can ’ t train that much during the week . I ’ m really lucky because I can ride at my dad ’ s house , even if it ’ s just an hour or so after work ; it ’ s a lot better than nothing . There are plenty of spots here that I can go on the weekends that are pretty accessible and close . that I would never really 100 % pursue trials , but I would rather do this and not put my life on hold first until i ’ m 25 or something and then quit trials and be like “ okay , let ’ s go get a job .” I just wanted to make that sacrifice and I ’ d say I ’ m happy that I did that ; I think I would rather have a job than trying to be a professional trials rider just because there ’ s nothing in it
I just wanted to focus on the career a little more so then i could be able to actually have bikes and ride . I almost felt , too , like if I really focused on trials and put all my efforts into it , maybe I would burn myself out and I didn ’ t want that to happen either . I want to ride trials as long as I can .
I think the biggest thing is finding the motivation especially if I am riding after work or working out before or even after ; it ’ s definitely hard just to find time , especially now when all the gyms are closed and it gets dark at five . I chose this path because I saw an opportunity to develop more of a career . I knew
