HOW ARE YOU KEEPING UP WITH YOUR TRAINING AND YOUR FITNESS ?

JOSH : [ laughs ] Funny story , I actually just got back from a road ride right now ; I rode under 30 miles . Every Tuesday and Thursday , Saturdays and Sundays ; those are the days that I ’ m training , whether it be actually on my motorcycle , mountain bike , or road bike . Normally Tuesdays , Thursdays , and Sundays are days that I ’ m on my motorcycle just training . I like to get as much time on the bike as possible . Riding the road bike helps a lot with cardio . Unfortunately , I wasn ’ t able to go out and run my motorcycle today ; I went out and did just under 30 miles on my road bike . It ’ s great , and this is the training schedule that I ’ ve got .
Nigel Parker is staying with me this winter , and training with Daniel Blanc-Gonnet ; us three combined makes a great trio and we ’ re able to all push each other and it ’ s been nothing but good . We look forward to what ’ s next . I don ’ t typically do a whole lot of weightlifting and heavy lifting ; it ’ s not my kind of style . The way I think about it is if I ’ m going to go work out , I ’ m going to do it on a bicycle or do it on my motorcycle , and work out in that type of condition . I find my strength training when I ’ m moving the motorcycle around , or I ’ m moving my bicycle around ; I really like to practice on trials bicycles because it really helps when it transfers over to your real motorcycle ; you can practice a lot of precision on the trials bicycle , and it will transfer over to the motorcycle and you ’ ll notice a difference .
KYLEE : I haven ’ t been mountain biking too much because it ’ s been so rainy and muddy . I like to mountain bike , I do bicycle trials . When it comes to gym workouts , it kind of varies each week . I ’ ve been sick lately ; I have a little cold the past like almost week and a half so I ’ ve just been laying low with the workouts .
I usually try to do at least three workouts a week . Ideally , it would be Monday , Wednesday , and Friday but sometimes I ’ ll take an extra day off or just decide “ Oh , I ’ m going to ride bicycle trials instead of doing a workout .” I try to be pretty consistent with that outside the bike because we really don ’ t get enough time to ride the bikes in the winter .
