2020 is a year that we will never forget in our lifetimes neither for eons to come for the devastation it caused and the heartaches it left us . Young and Old , Black and White , Poor and Rich all succumbed and amidst them , our revered sports heroes , even though some of them were B Y Rnot I Cfrom H A R D the ACOVID-19 C H O R E , Pandemic A C C R A , , Gnevertheless H A N A we lost a significant part of our sports community that will reverberate for years to come . Here are the Souls in the Sports World that no longer walk amongst us :

Kobe & Gianna Bryant
Kobe Bryant considered one of the greatest , most intense and focused basketball player of all time died in a helicopter crash alongside his daughter Gianna and seven others on January 26th 2020 in a helicopter crash . On board the Chopper were a family of three - father , mother and daughter , and four others which included the pilot , when it went down near Calabasas , California , USA . Bryant and his daughter were headed to his basketball academy , the Mamba Sports Academy , where he coached her and her team team . The academy was hosting the Mamba Cup Tournament Series , a series for boys and girls basketball teams from the third through eighth grades . After the shocking news broke all subsequent matches were canceled .
