Grant got the honorary salute at the Bury July 1st parade, usually from Col. Jack Garneau Grant and Mayotta, with close to 71 years married, certainly touched thousands of people. At card parties, Grant loved to play 500, and was darn good at it too.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 22, with visitation from 2-4 p. m. and 7-9 p. m. at Cass Funeral Home in Lennoxville.
Sunday night, the ANAF Unit # 318 and Legion held a Poppy Drop, which is a ceremony in which folks pass single file by the open casket and drop a poppy into it. Monday’ s funeral services were held at the Lennoxville United Church at 3 p. m., with Rev. Linda Buchanan and Rev. Mead Baldwin taking the service. Grant loved music, so the service was filled with music and song. He loved the songs“ The White Cliffs of Dover” and“ Har-
