Grant got the honorary salute at the Bury July 1st parade , usually from Col . Jack Garneau Grant and Mayotta , with close to 71 years married , certainly touched thousands of people . At card parties , Grant loved to play 500 , and was darn good at it too .
Funeral services were held Sunday , Jan . 22 , with visitation from 2-4 p . m . and 7-9 p . m . at Cass Funeral Home in Lennoxville .
Sunday night , the ANAF Unit # 318 and Legion held a Poppy Drop , which is a ceremony in which folks pass single file by the open casket and drop a poppy into it . Monday ’ s funeral services were held at the Lennoxville United Church at 3 p . m ., with Rev . Linda Buchanan and Rev . Mead Baldwin taking the service .
