The tuna fishing started out pretty good on the east side in early summer. Then around mid-July, the river rose up which is unusual and for the next month, tuna fishing was hard. It started to straighten up towards the end of August and the fall has been good overall. How are fishing (techniques) for tuna different from other pelagic species? Tuna is more bait centric compared to other pelagic species where trolling is often the best bet or at least comparable to fishing natural baits. What should anglers look for when targeting tuna?
