DIRECTOR HIGHLIGHTS Rachel Penning, Strategic Director (Cheerleading) Rachel is from Granville, Iowa. There she cheered for both football and basketball throughout her high school and college careers. In college she was captain of her squad as a junior and senior at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and that's when her passion blossomed for helping others improve their cheer skills. After she graduated from college with two bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and finance she moved to Englewood. She now works at Sports Authority's Corporate Offices as a predictive analyst and is attending Colorado School of Mines to get her master’s degree in statistics. Rachel heard about PYS a little over a year ago and immediately knew she wanted to get involved with the cheer program. She began as head coach and a month later was moved to the strategic director position and began to oversee the whole prog ram.
