Hello and welcome to the first Soltalk of 2022 . We hope you all had a great Christmas but as I am writing this before the event it is still up in the air in the UK as to whether another lockdown will be declared either before Christmas or on just after . Best just to keep plans flexible I feel ...
I have always been a glass half full person and I like the theory that the Omicron strain of Covid is the big splash that marks the start of Covid vanishing into the woodwork ! Oh well I might be right one day ! It would really be nice to watch a whole news programme one day without hearing the Covid word that ’ s for sure .
I love the fantastic example set by the Queen . Apparently ‘ Operation Omicron ’ is underway at Buckingham Palace to ensure Her Majesty is not alone at Christmas . The monarch could be without some of her family members if her plans to spend Christmas at Sandringham are cancelled .
After she chose to scrap the traditional pre-Christmas dinner for up to 50 family members due to soaring Covid cases , sources have said that ‘ all plans are under consideration ’ - including her annual trip to Norfolk . It means that the 95-yearold - who is facing her first Christmas without Prince Philip - could spend a second festive season at Windsor Castle . At least there is one leading figure setting a good example !
