For a stunning symbol of prosperity for Lunar New Year, you can’ t go past a Test Rite keepsake.

On 22 January, people all over the world will celebrate Lunar New Year, marking the end of the Year of the Tiger and the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit.
Officially celebrated with the rising of the second new moon after the winter solstice, Lunar New Year can fall between 21 January and 20 February, marking a time of family banquets, outdoor events and traditions to wish good luck and prosperity for the year ahead.
Red and gold decorations are at the heart of many Lunar New Year festivities, with companies like Test Rite making beautiful money banks for gifts and savings to symbolise the celebration.
Quality worth celebrating
When Costco warehouses around the world started seeing a buzz around stunning Lunar New Year decorations from Test Rite, Costco Australia knew its customers would enjoy them too.“ We’ ve been working with Test Rite for the past two years,” says Mitchell Innes, Costco Buyer.“ We like their quality, their designs and their innovations.”
Test Rite specialises in home décor products and is currently supplying Costco with two statement Lunar New Year pieces, the Ingot Money Bank and the God of Fortune Money Bank.“ The money bank is a treasure in ancient Chinese folklore,” explains Matthew Petruzzi from Test Rite.“ In Chinese society, parents buy a glass money bank for kids and ask them to save pocket money using it, and they will break the money bank in the new year to see how much they saved over the previous 12 months and use it to buy gifts for the new year.”
The God of Fortune Money Bank represents the God of Wealth in Chinese Taoism, a symbol that is often put on doors to ward off evil and pray for blessings.“ The [ God of Wealth ] is in charge of the wealth of the world,” Matthew explains.“ Businessmen often enshrine the [ God of Wealth ] in their companies to pray that their businesses prosper.” Touching it is also believed to deliver good luck for a lottery win.“ Before the Lunar New Year, we will clean up the house to get rid of the bad luck of the previous year
