Compostable produce packaging is also starting to become available. This is currently in development at Costco, and it’ s something Produce Buyer Jatin Naran is particularly passionate about.“ We have the opportunity to explore compostable packaging for our punnets at Costco, which is a great step forward in our commitment to sustainability,” he enthuses.
“ The main thing to know is that composting can be done by everyone. It helps reduce landfill, it’ s good for the environment and can help improve plant growth,” Will adds.“ So the question is... why not start today?”
