This was the film where she met her future and fifth husband, Richard Burton (the previous four were Conrad Hilton, Michael Wilding, Michael Todd--who died in a plane crash--and Eddie Fisher). Her next handful of films were lacklustre at best, especially The V.I.P.s.
1964
Taylor then married Burton , which the Vatican condemned as they were both married when they started seeing each other. The marriage lasted ten years before they divorced.
