Welcome to James J . Hill Days in Wayzata
All Aboard ! Wayzata ’ s 49th annual James J . Hill Days is comin ’ down the railroad track ! You ’ re invited to join us the weekend of September 8 – 10 , for a jam-packed , three-day festival filled with activities for the whole family . This is the perfect time to see all that Wayzata has to offer .
The Greater Wayzata Area Chamber is bringing back some community favorite events and is excited to announce brand new attractions ! A few fantastic returning activities include the Lake Minnetonka Carnival with a variety of fun and thrilling rides , the Rails & Ales Craft Beer Festival featuring 20 + breweries and live entertainment , a rockin ’ free live music line up on the Sandvold Stage , our Street Market featuring 175 vendors , and a country-filled Wayzata Beach Bash ! Don ’ t forget to arrive at Lake Street hungry , because this year we have all the best food options on Eat Street . This year ’ s Eat Street is
our largest yet with over 20 local food trucks offering savory bites and sweet treats , wonderful food vendors , and of course , our award-winning restaurants . All that good food will make you thirsty and don ’ t worry , we ’ ve got you covered at our Beer + Wine Tents .
You can also expect a variety of new events including a massive 300 ft . zip line that brings you to soaring heights and the opportunity to “ giddy-up ” with our adorable Pony Rides in Depot Park .
The fun doesn ’ t stop there ! Back this year are the extremely fun logrolling demos and contests , and our ultiMUTT Dog Zone where we ’ ll hold the Dachshund Races and Doggy Olympics . Don ’ t forget to BOYD ( Bring Your Own Dog ) to
compete for prizes and create a great memory with our Pet Caricature artist on Saturday and Sunday .
Lastly , don ’ t forget to look up to the skies throughout the weekend ! Our spectacular firework show will be sure to wow you , and the patriotic T-6 Thunder Airshow is not to be missed . Come together for these spectacular events , including our community gathering on Sunday . Hold on to your caboose , because this will be one heck of a weekend !
