Acknowledgement

I would like to conclude by thanking the students who presented at KCUR 2022 and contributed their research to this issue . Their enthusiasm for sharing their research helped to spark crossdisciplinary conversations , which we hope will continue through this special issue and at KCUR 2023 . Secondly , thank you to the peer reviewers for engaging with the students ’ articles and supporting them through their publication journey by providing constructive feedback . Many thanks to Charlie Hulme who provided outstanding administrative support in the making of this special issue , compiling the submissions and making them into a complete issue for us all to enjoy . Thank you to last year ’ s student and staff organisers for working hard to plan and host KCUR 2022 , as well to the Events and Conferencing and Audio Visual Services teams for helping the event run smoothly year-on-year . It was a privilege to learn from and work collaboratively with such an inspiring and collegial group of people . Last , but by no means least , I am grateful to Dr Chris Little for founding KCUR and the JADE Student Edition in 2016 , as well as to Angela Rhead , Samantha Mottram , and the Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences for previously organising this conference and helping to grow KCUR into such a supportive , friendly , and exciting showcase of student research .
