YMCA PARTNERSHIP
The new 72,000 square foot Winston Family
YMCA facility that overlooks the St Johns
River on Riverside Ave, opened its stateof-the-art facility in August of this year to
focus on reducing chronic illnesses such as
cancer, stroke, heart disease and diabetes.
The Jacksonville Jaguars pledged $500,000
towards the 7,800 square foot Jacksonville
Jaguars Gymnasium equipped with a full
basketball court, two short courts and a
volleyball court. The Jaguars are committed
to creating healthy environments where
children in our community can learn,
achieve and begin to develop a healthy
lifestyle. The Jaguars also helps to support
the Willie Galimore Community Center pool
in St Augustine which serves approximately
4,000 swimmers per year. In addition,
the Jaguars are a proud sponsor of the
Y’s corporate games, an annual event
that combines healthy living and friendly
competition among area organizations.
On game days, the YMCA provides childcare
services for the players and also helps
support our Junior Jags program geared
towards our young fans.
