Welcome to Jacksonville, home of the iconic, award-winning Tomato Bowl, a proud symbol of our city’ s heritage and community spirit. Located in the heart of downtown, the Tomato Bowl was recently voted the # 1 High School Stadium in Texas by Dave Campbell’ s Texas Football. Originally built in the 1930s and thoughtfully restored, this historic landmark embodies the grit, tradition, and passion that define our city.
It is both a privilege and an honor to introduce myself as the 2026 Chairman of the Board. My name is Victor Ontiveros, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve you as we work together toward a stronger, more prosperous future for our community. In addition to my role as Chairman, I also serve as the Area Manager at Oncor, and I look forward to bringing that experience and perspective as we collaborate to strengthen our community.
Jacksonville is a community rooted in strong traditions, yet rich with forward-looking potential. Our local businesses, from family-owned shops to long-standing enterprises, are more than economic drivers; they are the heart and soul of our city. As your Chairman, I am committed to advocating on your behalf, strengthening our business climate, and ensuring that the Chamber remains a dependable and dynamic partner for every member.
I am proud to share that our Board of Directors represents a very diverse group of leaders, reflecting a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. This diversity strengthens our decision-making, enriches our initiatives, and ensures that every voice in our community has a seat at the table.
Our city has a rich heritage from our identity as the Tomato Capital, to the iconic Tomato Bowl, to the Home of the World’ s Largest Bowl of Salsa, which is matched only by the deep-rooted community spirit we all cherish. Today, we have a unique opportunity to grow, modernize, and ensure that local businesses thrive for generations to come.
