CHRISTUS Health has proudly served the City of Jacksonville, Cherokee County, and the surrounding areas for more than 20 years, providing top-quality care to the community and the surrounding areas through its full-service hospital facility and distinguished providers. In 2022, CHRISTUS Health was the first hospital in Texas to receive the Pediatric Readiness recognition by the Texas Emergency Medical Services for Children State Partnership for their dedication to giving optimal care for sick and injured children in emergency situations.
In addition, CHRISTUS Health has received the Jacksonville Progress Newspaper People’ s Choice Award for the Best Hospital for multiple years.
In 2024, the hospital opened the Byers Family Foundation Women’ s Imaging Center, expanding services for women from across Cherokee County and beyond. The new center features the latest technology for bone density testing and screening mammograms, including the latest in 3D mammography.
A new digestive disease center was blessed and opened in October, and houses state-of-the-art equipment, nursing station, four pre-operation beds, two procedure rooms, and four post-operation recovery
beds. In March 2025, CHRISTUS Health and Texas A & M University College of Medicine entered a partnership for a rural health initiative that will give medical students health care experience in rural areas and show them opportunities available.
CHRISTUS Health will work with the university to host medical students for one-week or two-week rotations in the Jacksonville hospital and clinics.
CHRISTUS Health is the second hospital in East Texas to join the program following CHRISTUS Health – Sulphur Springs, which signed an agreement with Texas A & M in February 2024.
In June 2025, the hospital was recognized by DAISY Foundation, an international program that honors and celebrates extraordinary, compassionate care by nurses.
The award was in recognition for the hospital’ s treatment of a traumatic brain injury patient.
Each December, the hospital presents the annual Jingle Jog, a 5K and fun run that is open to runners, walkers, adults, and children. Santa Claus makes his appearance for photos and funds raised benefit scholarship programs through the Jacksonville Rotary Club.
In 2023, the hospital opened a newly renovated and expanded 24-hour Emergency Care Center for acute emergency needs and is a
designated Level IV Trauma Center. The new facility doubled the size of the processing department, created a triage suite for registration, and established a centralized location for supply storage.
CHRISTUS Health also offers post-acute inpatient rehabilitation services.
CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic( located in the heart of the hospital) provides Saturday clinic hours from 8 a. m. to 1 p. m. Service will be provided by appointment and walk-in.
Patients will be able to receive X-ray and lab tests and leave with necessary appointments for follow up with their primary care provider or other specialists as needed.

Our team of board-certified pediatricians is also here to support your child’ s health as they grow.
At UT Health Jacksonville, we are committed to providing the highest standard of surgical care, emphasizing safety, precision and excellent outcomes. Our surgical services include outpatient and inpatient procedures in general surgery, urology, colorectal care( including colonoscopy), pain management, and orthopedics— such as outpatient arthroscopic knee and shoulder procedures. We also offer comprehensive preand post-operative care for all surgical patients.
Our facility features a Level IV Trauma Center, inpatient dialysis, infusion therapy, addiction and weight management programs, a wound healing clinic, a sleep disorders clinic, and the Olympic Center, a premier fitness and rehabilitation facility. We also offer Cherokee County’ s most advanced 24-hour radiology and diagnostic imaging department, along with many other specialty services.
