The school also has participants who are part of a dual credit program offered through area high schools. • The college – which also offers an on- line learning program with expanded course offerings – awarded its first completely online degree in May to Tameeka Mitchell of Jacksonville. • In July, JC and UT Tyler announced a partnership to offer seamless pathways for students seeking to continue their education by creat- ing a streamlined transfer process between the two schools. • In 2017, the college signed an ar- ticulation agreement with East Texas Baptist University, designed to maxi- mize resources available at the both institutions to provide an accessible avenue for students to earn both an associate and bachelor’s degrees. 13 Allied Health programs, and ad- ditional face-to-face evening courses in Anatomy & Physiology, as well as accounting. • Students have ample opportunity to participate in music, theater, athletics and a variety of social and academic organizations. • The Department of Education’s Col- lege Affordability and Transparency Center ranks Jacksonville College as the fourth most affordable private nonprofit 2-year college in the na- tion.
