Howdy! And Welcome to Jacksonville Texas!
2020 got here fast didn’t it? I am delighted to have the honor of serving this community as the
2020 Chairwoman of the Board alongside the many business leaders, civic clubs, community
members, educators, government representative’s, local officials, and volunteers. Established
in 1928, the Chamber has a long history of uniting and promoting its members. As the Cham-
ber settles into its new location, the staff and board are ready to jump into this new decade
and work hard continuing to enrich and grow our business community.
Whether you are a native of Jacksonville or a transplant like me, I think you will find that
Jacksonville is a great place to live, work and do business. We have what you need. Hospitals,
schools, restaurants, wholesale or retail shopping, hotels, venues and so many things to do
and see.
Past-Chairman Tom Trimble, did an excellent job living out the work together, grow together
vision. His dedication and direction will allow 2020 to be a year of focus and vision for this
next decade. As we move into 2020, it’s a good time to reflect on our past, and prepare for the
future.

Being involved with the Chamber has personally allowed me many opportunities. I’ve enjoyed
learning about the businesses and community I serve. I’ve met and worked with others for a
greater purpose. I’ve creatively marketed the business I represent and enjoyed networking with potential customers.
There is something for every level of commitment, and I promise, there is always room for fresh faces, ideas and mem-
bers.
I encourage you to stop by and visit the Chamber staff at 1714 East Rusk Street. Check out the many Chamber events
found at www.JacksonvilieTexas.com. Chamber Chatter or various social media pages. If you have not already joined
the Chamber, please consider choosing a membership that meets you and your business needs. The Chamber staff and
board members are happy to answer any questions you may have. Together we can focus on today and start looking
forward to our tomorrow!
I want to extend a huge thank you on behalf of the Chamber staff and Board to all who have helped support the Cham-
ber over the years. Your continued support is valued and appreciated. 2020 is here, let’s use the momentum to continue
building a better tomorrow!
