Investing in the
switch to electric
The future looks quieter and cleaner on
the islands’ roads with more and more of us
ditching the diesel and petrol and making the
switch to electric vehicles.
Figures produced by Emu Analytics, a leading
data science and software company show there
will be more than a million EVs registered in
the UK by 2020, up from 150,000 in 2018.
The majority of pure EVs have a range of
between 100 and 200 miles, making them the
ideal drive for the islands’ roads. While the UK
might be struggling right now with a lack of
charge points, when it’s time to power up, you’re
never going to be far from one in Jersey or
Guernsey. We’ve got them on our forecourts,
they are in all the big car parks and hotels are
offering them to their guests too.
