Fresh from celebrating its 10th anniversary , the latest series of The Brokenwood Mysteries finds Detectives Mike Shepherd , Kristin Sims and Daniel Chalmers still battling the escalating murder rate in Brokenwood . With the help of their eccentric pathologist , Dr Gina Kadinsky , they use all manner of less than conventional methods to solve the town ’ s more macabre and unusual crimes .

From an 80s rock star with a dead groupie on his conscience and an explosive school quiz night to a fatal séance , a killer chandelier and a science teacher trussed up on a flying fox , this series ’ homicides continue to capture the quirky essence of New Zealand ’ s deadliest town .
