On the Move
IWU School of Nursing students, faculty, staff,
and alumni are on the move. We are moving
forward with our education and our careers.
We’re traveling, whether packing our bags for
cross-cultural experiences or moving across
campus to new offices in the Science and Nursing Building. And we’re up and moving, keeping
active in road races, rugby matches, and more.
In this issue you’ll meet SON family like Samantha (p. 8), who started a hometown movement
for SIDS awareness, and Tiffani (p. 12), who was
so moved by the needs of a Guatemalan village
she put plans in motion for a quarterly international healthcare clinic.
In the School of Nursing, we’re on the move—
trusting God to direct our paths and remembering Joshua 1:9: “The LORD your God is with you
wherever you go.” +
IWU School of Nursing has become a place
where vision meets fruition.
In 1994, Indiana Wesleyan had only one classroom dedicated
to its nursing program. This spring, we are entering a new
110,000-square-foot, five-story Science and Nursing Building
providing several clinical rooms, simulation rooms, a DNP
skills lab, and the opportunity to work collaboratively alongside other health professions—pushing our education potential to the next level. (For more about this exciting new facility,
check out the article on page 5.)
The School of Nursing embraces the entrepreneurial spirit
to not just adjust and adapt to meet ever-changing needs of
today’s healthcare landscape, but also to be a leader in nursing education that others will follow. Join us in pushing the
practical and educational edge at Indiana Wesleyan’s School
of Nursing. Our team will stand beside and guide you to your
personal academic goals as we continue to pursue excellence
in education as a whole. Together, we can do it! +
