Singapore Network

The Singapore network hosted the drinks reception at the 3rd Regional Insolvency Conference in Singapore for the third consecutive year at the invitation of the Law Society of Singapore, the conference's organiser. The conference was held on the 15th and 16th of September 2016 with the drinks reception held on the evening of September 15th. The conference is widely regarded as one of the most prominent events in the restructuring and insolvency space in South-East Asia with a 300 person-strong attendance and with several leading restructuring and insolvency practitioners from Singapore, Hong Kong and the UK, among others, as panellists. Other highlights of IWIRC Singapore's participation in the conference include: (i) an IWIRC-hosted panel on September 15th which discussed the impact of technology on the professional services industry (particularly topical given the increased reliance on artificial intelligence tools by law firms, among others); and (ii) an all-female panel discussion on Financing and Effecting Successful Restructuring on September 16th which included the following members from the IWIRC Singapore and Hong Kong Boards: Debby Lim (Shook Lin & Bok LLP), Catherine D’Alton (Walkers LLP), Angela Ee (Ernst & Young Solutions LLP), Mei Yen Tan (WongPartnership LLP), and Holly Yuen (Madison Pacific).
