Delaware Network

Lunch and Learn

On November 17, 2017, IWIRC Delaware members met for a Lunch and Learn program hosted by Ashby & Geddes to discuss the rise of "diversity holdback" mandates that many large organizations have implemented with respect to their counsel. Attendees shared their experience with clients' diversity requirements and considered the impact of such requirements on the bankruptcy practice, as well as Delaware practice. They also considered the effects that client-imposed diversity requirements may have on law firm management and the retention and promotion of associate attorneys. Thanks to Alessandra Glorioso (Dorsey & Whitney LLP; Wilmington) for the write up.

IWIRC Delaware Network New Year's Celebration

IWIRC Delaware hosted its annual holiday party on January 10, 2018, where members and non-members were able to enjoy an evening of networking and live music from the Indubitable Equivalents (the classic rock band comprised of insolvency professionals). Unlike in prior years, the event occurred in January and was styled as a new year’s celebration rather than a December holiday party as has been the historic practice. More than 150 people registered for the event, which was held at Wilmington’s historic Grand Opera House. The event was a wonderful success and a fantastic way to kick off the new year and recognize the Delaware network’s generous sponsors. Thank you to the Delaware network’s events committee and volunteers whose efforts made the occasion a success.

The Delaware network’s holiday party is an annual event that is open to all insolvency professionals. If you were not able to join us this year, we hope to see you next year.
