Naomi Moore and her colleague Mark Fucci, both partners at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in Hong Kong, co-authored an article entitled Is it the structure? Chinese onshore bankruptcies and offshore bond default. The piece was published online at www.globalrestructuringreview.com and appears in the February 2017 edition of the Global Restructuring Review. The article notes that recent harsh results in the onshore bankruptcies of Chinese operating subsidiaries belonging to offshore holding companies have led to market speculation that the fault lies with the PRC’s insolvency system and considers whether this is correct.
Kathryn Richter moved her practice to Sedgwick LLP, effective July 2016. She is a Partner in the firm, and a member of several practice groups, including the creditor's rights and bankruptcy, construction practices, and retail practice groups. She focuses her practice on creditor and debtor representation, bankruptcy appellate work, and bankruptcy-related commercial litigation. Amy also serves as Co-Chair of IWIRC’s Greater Philadelphia Network.
