Elizabeth L. Gunn, Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia, has been selected as a Coordinating Editor for the ABI Journal’s On the Edge column for 2016. Elizabeth recently published an article in the August ABI Journal entitled Bullard v. Blue Hills Bank: Not Merely Form Over Function and has a forthcoming article in the Virginia State Bar Bankruptcy Newsletter entitled Despite A Busy Spring for the Supreme Court with Bankruptcy Decisions, Many Questions Remain Unanswered. At the 2015 ABI Spring Meeting, Elizabeth was a panelist on the Consumer Case Law Update. In August 2015, she will present at a Virginia CLE on advising the distressed small business owner. She has also been selected to moderate a panel at the ABI Winter Leadership Conference in December 2015 on the topic of Estate Planning, Divorce and Bankruptcy: When Worlds Collide. Elizabeth was nominated to the Executive Committee of the Bankruptcy Section of the Federal Bar Association and is currently serving her third year on the Executive Committee of the Richmond Bar Association Bankruptcy Section.
Carolyn Hochstadter, of E. Carolyn Hochstadter Dicker, LLC and adjunct professor at The Wharton School will be giving a CLE in October 2015 on the topic of the Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship: A survey of basic start-up issues at the Jenkins Law Library. Carolyn’s multi-lingual practice has evolved into helping foreign nationals establish businesses in the U.S. in addition to providing them with basic transactional and litigation services.
