For this project , I required a very special movement and fortunately , acclaimed Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin obliged . Very kindly he supplied a customized version of his Calibre KMR 02-0 mechanism previously exclusively used in his Mystery Levitas models .
CUSTOMIZING SOLUTIONS It ’ s fair to say that most of my bespoke watch projects to date have been experimental and not intended for production . They are on my Paolo Mathai Horology website as illustrations to show what is possible .
However , these watches could easily be adapted to customer specifications with different materials and rescaled if necessary . If a client desires a bespoke Avant-Garde timepiece with a highly complex tourbillon mechanism , it ’ s certainly possible . Like an architect , I can devise an innovative solution within the parameters of most budgets .
I have many more concepts that could be adapted to client specifications . Essentially , this means every customer could have a unique piece .
I relish the challenge of creating many more radical timepieces .
