GIVING BACK ZODIAC DIVE WATCH SUPPORTS THE SEAS Zodiac completes a second chapter in partnership with renowned diver, photographer, and conservationist Andy Mann. Hints of safety orange accent the full size visage (45mm by 50mm) of the new Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 68 Saturation Andy Mann Limited Edition, crafted in blue and silver steel. Working from the outside of the façade inwards you find a sublimated bezel with an unusual placement of the fifteen-minute arc of markings that actually highlight the last fifteen minutes of the hour on the bezel as opposed to the first such time span as seen on the vast majority of diver types. According to Mann this was his own choice as he feels the last minutes of a typical one-hour dive are the more critical when considering available air and overall time submerged. Within this unusual bezel is superimposed tetradecagonal (say that five times fast) ring forming a barrier between the outer rotating bezel and the inner sapphire crystal. Water resistant to an impressive 1,000 meters (3,280 feet), the new Zodiac Super Sea Wolf is powered by a Swiss chronometer- rated STP 13 automatic movement under a dial Mann designed to emulate the streaming “God’s light” effect of fractal light beams underwater. The watch’s solid caseback features an engraving of a shark based on one of Mann’s photographs. Delivered in a watertight case made of 50% recycled plastic, each of the new Zodiac/Mann Super Sea Wolf Limited editions is priced at $2,295. Sales help Zodiac continue its support for Mann’s next adventure in highlighting the fragility of oceanic eco-systems as he dives and records the virgin reefs of East Timor in still and motion pictures.
